Do you ever reply to e-mails about serialization problems!!!
I have e-mailed three separate times this week to get an answer to my problem. I have some work to do and can't get it done because of VERY POOR customer service. I have a problem with my serial number for AI that came with my Microtex 4000 scanner. How can I get an answer and get the program to work? Please someone answer this post!

if you're using OS X
what was the problem? was it that SF appeared to accept the serial number but continued to work in Demo mode, and asked for the serial number every time you launched SF?
I had this problem today when trying to run SF Ai Studio (NikonM) with a non-Admin user. after reading another message on the forum regarding this problem, I corrected the problem by temporarily changing the user's status to Administrator while I entered the serial number; ie,
during today's episode, I also discovered that Nikon drivers have special permissions requirements which the SF installer cannot set correctly. The Nikon folder at /Library/Application Support/Nikon/ must allow Read/Write for all users who are going to use SF with a Nikon scanner. if this is not done, SF will not be able to discover the scanner upon launch.
I used a shareware app called BatChmod to unlock and change the permissions of all files and folders within the Nikon folder so that All Users had read and write permissions. within corporations, it might be necessary to set up a Group specifically for people using SF and assign that Group with Read/Write permissions to the Nikon folder.

Gregory
