installing silverfast for 2 scanners

Currently I have install Silverfast Ai 6 for my Epsonscanner. Now I bought a filmscanner which brings another Silverfast Ai6 version. Can both version be installed on the same PC?

Yes, multiple versions of SilverFast can be installed on the same computer.

What is best practice for doing this, especially if the version coming with the filmscanner is an older release of AI6?
Same directory, new directory ....

You can install the two versions in the same or in different directories.

They are using different preference files and also the coexistance of older and newer versions is no problem.

Personally, I prefer to have them installed into a common directory, but I think our support team recommends to have them installed in separate directories.
