Once this program is installed it looks nice, but the installation process is very confusiing especially after installing the IT8 Calibration feature.
First, I don't know the difference between the TWAIN and the Adobe PlugIn, I mean I don't know which one is which because when you select Import there are two SilverFast but which is which and when the come up and if you select help about you still can't tell which is which, very stupid.
The other problem I have is that it seems that if you select both TWIAN and PlugIn installation then the next menu ask for path, one of them is the \Program Files\LaserSoft and the other is under your Adobe Photoshop PlugIn, well guess what i found and this is a mistake and oversight on LaserSoft unless I a dumb, if you tell it to put it under \Program Files\LaserSoft and told the install program you want both the TWAIN and PlugIn it looks like it will only install the TWAIN driver, you would think the program would be smart to know to install it under the Adobe Photoshop plugin folder too. An average user would not know that. Anyway, I still dont know which is which.
Also, another problem came up is when I upgraded to the IT8 feature it now ask me the name of the file to save the scan image before I do the scan and does not give me the option of PSD (Photoshop format) what is going on here? Anybody knows what this is?
I am very disappointed with this program so far. I am sure once the install is done correctly and the program works right it's a great program but so far I have put several hours and re-installing it many times it's worthless to me now.
I hope someone has a simple answer to these question.
ALso, while I am complaining about this program, does anyone know why when you click on import from SilverFast it takes over a minute for it to search for devices? Everytime I go to scan I have to wait for a minute for it to find devices. The SE version that came with the Epson 3200 Scanner does it immediately, what is the differences between these?
I will try and see if I can get a hold of tech support tomorrow, but if anyone has some answers I would greatly appreciate them.

I sent in the SF_Logfile as you requested directly to support two days ago and still nothing from anyone. How long does it take for support to get back. If this product doesn't work I want to return it, it's useless as it is now for me. I either need it fixed or returned. Please help ASAP.
