LaserSoft Imaging

I upgraded my Epson 1600 version from 6.1.0r3 to 6.1.0r5 and it changed names from Silverfast (Epson) (6.1.0r3) to Silverfast (EpsonIT8) (6.1.0r5).

Then, I downloaded r7, and it changed back to Silverfast (Epson) (6.1.0r7) Unfortunately, none of the serial numbers I entered worked. I have the original one from my invoice, an IT8 one, and one or two other ones that were a result of problems when I upgraded to 6.

I am going to uninstall, delete all files/folders, reboot, and reinstall. I'll let you know if that works.

No luck - it just makes an error noise when I hit submit. It doesn't say it's the wrong number or anything, but it won't let me serialize.

Please contact me directly via Email in order to check the serials you have been provided. I will try to check if they are valid first. If not we wil issue a new one immediatly.

After downloading 6.1.0r8, everything is back to normal!

I experienced the same thing last night, and now I know what it is. WebUpdate downloads the wrong file, Silverfast (Epson) instead of Silverfast (EpsonIT8) and that is why the serial will not work. I had to download the Silverfast (EpsonIT8) version from the website to get the correct installer.

Please correct this in future releases.
