We have recently purchased a new Epson Perfection 3200 Photo scanner with Silverfast SE version 6 (i think). I am running into a problem trying to intall the Photoshop plugin from the CD. When I launch the CD from the autostart icon, I go through the windows. When i get to the license agreement, and click, "I agree" this error message pops up.

"This software requires 8092K of physical memory, which this system does not have. Installation cannot proceed."

We have minimal software installed on the machine, and there is plently of memory to go around. I am running a completely updated version of Photoshop 7.0.1 with the latest G5 update found at the Adobe site. I am also running the latest OSX system update. The CPU is a Mac G5 dual 2GigHz processor, with 2GigB RAM.

Please help. Is there a patch i can use to install your software? Or is one due out soon? I am not a Mac guy, but do all my image processing on this machine. Any tips you can give will be great. I know my way around the MAc a little, but i am at a loss as to why this error message came up. Thanks.

Matthew

This is the old installer, this could not handle more than 1.5 Gig Ram. This problem is solved with the new installer. Please download and install the current version of SilverFast bundled SE 6.
