PrimeFilm 1800u Installation problems

I have been attempting to install the SilverFast Ai demo for over a week and have exhausted all avenues. My computer has Windows XP Home with all the updates installed. I have a PrimeFilm 1800u scanner.

The scanner works fine with Cyberview X and using the twain driver within Photoshop Elements 2.0. After what seems to be a successful installation of the SilverFast demo, when I attempt to scan from within PS Elements using SilverFast AFL I receive a message that no scanner is found.

Has anyone else experienced installation problems such as this?

Dear cu_tiger

this should not occur with Silverfast Version 6.0.3 or higher.
Did you verify that the scanner is listed in the control panel (scanners and cameras) as well as in the device manager?

Please contact the support@silverfast.com and attached the SF_Logfile which can be found in the Photoshop Import/Export folder.

I have exactly the same problem. The scanner shows up in the device list on my XP SP1 PC, and I can use this LC driver in Adobe Photoshop. I can install the CyberView driver and that will work. Just can't get SilverFast's TWAIN to work.

Please post what the solution comes to be!

Thank you,

Russell

PIE 1800U not found-
I am having this same problem with SilverFast 6.2.0.r1/2 on Windows XP
The CyberViewX works (such that it is), but SF does not see the scanner. The new drivers install as "LC" does this confuse SF?
