I am trying to install silverfast 6.0 ai on MAC OS 9.1 using Photoshop 7.0. I had no problems installing silverfast with Photoshop version 5.0, but when attempting to install silverfast with 7.0 Photoshop, I cannot get past the dialog box where I am asked to select my version of Photoshop. PS 7.0 is visible, then I click on "select" and nothing happens. I try this time and time again. Re-installed Photoshop, still no progress from the same dialog window.

Any help or advice out there?

John

Hello,

This problem can be solved in two ways:

1. You can run the software update control panel from the Apple menu, and install the latest update to CarbonLib, or

2. You can downloaded the latest update of SilverFast from our web site. We have fixed our installers to not require CarbonLib anymore, meaning you should be able to install properly.

The file/package "Twain.8ba" need to be in the folder "Photoshop/Plug-ins/Import-Export". If it is not there, the Photoshop installation is faulty. You could also choose only SilverFast Application to install, then there should be the Plug-in in the "SilverFast Application" folder under "Applications". This you could copy to the Import-Export folder.
