Windows 2000 Silverfast 5.1.0 and Photoshop7.01 problem

I have installed silverfast plug-in or twain driver on a Windows 2000pro system. The plugin location which was not automatically discovered was specified by hand at
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Modules externes\Adobe Photoshop Only\Importation-Exportation\"
The plugin access appears properly in photoshop but one tries to use it. It "searches for the scanner" and does not find it.

The coolscan drivers have been installed along with the coolscan 3.1.2 tool (which recognize and properly use the Coolscan III). The coolscan appears correctly installed in the system as can be seen under "imaging hardware" of the device manager tools.

Note that the plug-in and/or twain driver was properly installed under Photoshop 6.0

Does somebody have an idea to solve this problem? I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Eric

Please send an email to kristian.kratzenstein@silverfast.com with the problem you have. I could work this out there much more easy.

Did you ever get your problem fixed? I have version 5.0.2 of Silverfast, Win2000, and Adobe Photoshop 7.0, and the NIkon LS2000. When I tried to install Silverfast after I installed Nikon Scan v3.1.2, it gave me the same error that it was "searching for devices." I uninstalled Nikon Scan, and it still did the same thing, but when I uninstalled both and installed Nikon Scan 2.5 before Silverfast, it worked.
