LaserSoft Imaging

I am using SilverFast 6 with an Epson 3200 scanner and the latest update for the full version of the software is 46. There appears to be a new release every week or so. Where can I find out what the new release corrects or adds relative to the previous release? I install the new release because I assume it corrects some problem or adds capability, but it would be good to know what.

I have installed SilverFast 6, SFE-6.0.1r46A(Epson) and the scan time for a 35mm negative is approximately 3x longer than for SFE-6.0.1r44A(Epson). Should I expect the scan time to increase by 3x? What am I doing wrong?
