SilverFast Stand Along Dosen't Work

I am using the full version of SilverFast for the Epson 3200 scanner. I downloaded the latest release SFE-6.0.1r44(Epson) and installed it on my computer. The Photoshop plug-in works although I have lock up problems, but I can't get SilverFast stand alone to work. When I double click on the SF icon, I get a screen for SF Spp v1.1.5. I see the following:
Plug in (chose PlugIn Folder) and Folder C:\Program Files\LaserSoft\SilverFast. When I click on the "chose PlugIn Folder" tirangle, I only have a choice of "chose PlugIn Floder".
What am I doing wrong? I would like to run SilverFast stand alone to see if I have the same problems as running in Photoshop.

Dear Mr. Martin.
Select "Choose plugin folder" from the popup and then select the folder, where you have installed SilverFast into. SF_App should find the plugin then.
Eric.

I followed the directions relative to selecting the folder where SilverFast is located. On my system it is : C:\Program Files\adobe\photoshop 6.0\plugins\import-export\silverfast. This location is shown in the Folder section of the SF App v1.1.5, but the import button is grey and can't be selected. Only the Cancel button can be selected. Am I missing something?

Dear Mr. Martin.
Are you sure, that there is a SilverFast plugin inside the SilverFast folder?
Also be sure that it is a PhotoShop plugin, because SF_App can?t work with TWAIN plugins. The ending of the plugins name must be: *.8ba.
Eric.

Eric, thanks for your inputs. I found the SilverFast plug-in doing a search for *.8ba. It was located in the following location:
C:\program files\adobe\photoshop 6.0\plug-ins\import-export
I had selected one level lower as follows:
C:\program files\adobe\photoshop 6.0\plug-ins\import-export\silverfast
The stand alone program now opens just like the plug-in inside of photoshop. Should the SilverFast plugin be in the import-export folder or the SilverFast folder that is inside the import-export folder?

I think the location is ok.
The SilverFast folder contains prefs and previews from SilverFast.
Eric.
