LaserSoft Imaging

I am trying to install Silverfast AI (LS-40) on MacOS X 10.2.3

I downloaded the current version 6.0.1r46.

The install waits about 30 minutes saying "preparing to install..."

After this point I've tried both custom and easy install.

It then brings up the dialog saying:

"Installing...
File: <filename>
Installing: <number> of 133 items."

Then a dialog pops up saying

"Sorry, the operation could not be completed due to a system error (file not found)"

The installer then gives me the option to quit or attempt to install again. If I attempt to install again it returns to the "preparing to install..." dialog and waits for the 30 minutes.

Is anyone able to help?

I've discovered that the error message should've been saying "unable to create directory, permission denied" I've since fixed up the directory permissions and the installation worked fine.

I still had to wait the 30 minutes while it was "preparing installation..."
