Yes, Another "Where is the Photoshop Plugin" Problem

Hi:

I've scanned through the various topics related to my issue but haven't found anything with an answer that solves the problem for me. I'll admit in advance that could be missing something obvious.

I just purchased a copy of Ai Studio (version 8.8r10) for my Epson v600 scanner. I'm running Windows 10 Pro and have Photoshop CC2018 (all 64 bit). I installed everything as the administrator on this machine.

Still, the plugin does not show up in the "Import" menu in Photoshop and there is nothing in the Photoshop plugins folder.

What am I doing wrong?

~Dave

Dear Dave,

Did you install from a full Admin account? a restricted user might not be allowed to write into the Photoshop Plug-ins folder.
Also, check your Photoshop folder if the /Plug-ins/Import-Export/ folder already exists. If not create it and reinstall the update.

If that does not help open the SilverFast installation folder.
e.g. C:/Applications/SilverFast Application/SilverFast 8/

find the "SilverFast 8 x64.8ba" file and right-click it. Select "create shortcut.
Then move the shortcut into the Photoshop /Plug-ins/Import-Export folder and restart Photoshop.
Do not move the .8ba file itself

Kind regards
Arne
