LaserSoft Imaging

Have the last 3 days purchased a plustek 8100
I am trying to install software SilverFast 8
I can do quick scan therefore plustex 8100 and my windows 10 are connected but Silverfast cannot trace the scanner
and therefore I cannot get the reg No.in or scanner details it will not let me go any further
Help
please note I am over 70 years old so please keep it simple

Please make sure you have installed the latest driver update from the Plustek website and the latest SilverFast update from our website.

still cannot make contact with scanner loaded both updates
also made sure I have no web cam or bluetooth turned on
can anyone help please or this scanner will have to go back
