Hello,

I'm using OSX 10.10.5 and Silverfast 8 // scanner Epson V550
After starting SF8 i get dialog "There was a problem starting your scanner. Please make sure your drivers are installed correctly. Exiting now..."
Scanner is working properly with native program "Epson scan"

Dear user,

Make sure you have installed the latest SilverFast 8 update.
The drivers for the V550 are only available in 32 bit mode so make sure SilverFast is in 32 bit mode.

I don't know what version of Silverfast 8 I am using. It is the CD version that came with the scanner

The version from the CD will be too old for OS X 10.12.
make sure you are using the latest update from our website.

I've used SilverFast 6.6 on an XP and am now trying to install it on Windows 7. Repeated message is "can't find scanner." Scanner is plustek, plugged into my computer.

Suggestions?

Dear user,

SilverFast 6 is still an older 32 Bit Software. Make sure you have installed the 32 bit drivers.
64 bit drivers would require SilverFast 8.
