Hi Eric, Thank you for your message. I also addressed this to problem support, and Martin replied. Can you add to this? I have cited your response in my reply to Martin. I was confused about what you said because on the one hand you say that SF_App is a standalone and no plugin, but then you also say that SF_App calls the SilverFast plugin. Where does it get the Silverfast plugin from? Where can I get the Silverfast plugin if mine is missing?
I eagerly await your repsonse. Regards, Steve

Dear Sir,
This unfortunately is currently a problem with the installer we are using. The installer has a problem on computers with more that 2 GB of RAM. Right now, the only solution is to remove some Ram temporarily to enable the installation. Once the program is installed, the Ram can be put back. We expect to switch to a new installer system soon.
Thank you Martin Leschke, but I have not changed the RAM in my machine since it ran well just after last install which was around the 27 or 28 of Dec. Did you change your installer since then? I received this message on the forum ?

The SF_App is a standalone applications and no plugin. Its only use is to call the SilverFast plugin wihtout the need of other appliations like PhotoShop.
The NikonM plugins will not run with the LS2000 on OSX, because these plugins are using the Nikon SDKs for Nikon scanners and this SDK doesn?t handle the LS2000 on OSX.
Please try the latest version of SilverFast for the LS2000 for OSX. The Ai can be found at

Best regards
Eric. ?
It seems he contradicts himself but I do not think he means to. He says that SF_App is a standalone and no plugin, and then he says that SF_App calls the SilverFast plugin. Where does it get the Silverfast plugin from?
Your repsonse would be most appreciated. Regards, Steve
