two scanners two modules one won't serialize

Setting up a patron scanning workstation in a public library. Purchased a Plustek 8100 film scanner with Silverfast. Installed this scanner.
Then purchased EPSON Perfection V700 flatbed scanner, purchased Silverfast module for EPSON.
Downloaded the Demo version and serialized this module. Now software tries to register product but the drop-down for the salutation (Mr., Miss, Ms., etc) does not retain my selection and prevents completion of the registration process, because "not all of the required fields are filled"
I am afraid this will not finalize the "conversion" of the EPSON demo module into the permanent module.
Is this correct? or will the EPSON module bet retained as a permanent module??
