Registration and recognising scanner

Hi all, I have installed a new V850 scanner. That worked well. Next, I installed and registered the bundled Silverfast SE Plus. That worked also. Then I inserted the Ai Studio 8 software, which unzipped and installed. However, no registration was called for and in the dialogue the scanner is not recognised. The upgrade button is greyed.

Using W10 32 bit.

Can anyone make my day ?

Dear Tim,

to upgrade the version you need to exchange the serial number through the welcome screen's service dialog.
The the "Upgrade license" button can be used for this.
In case it is not active make sure your scanner is shown in the image source.
It must be active and connected.
