Upgrade of software - Mac OS

Hello there - I've just upgraded from v 6.6 to v 6.6.2r5 with launcher version v 3.1.1. I'm running Mac OS 10.9.5 and the launcher will not launch the software but 'hangs' and repeated tries get a system error message. This sounds similar to another user's earlier post where you said that OS 10.10 Yosemite was not supported, but surely my version is? I recall it was on the list of supported OS versions before I downloaded. Thanks for any help.

Dear customer,

Your version of SilverFast unfortunately is too old for OS X 10.9.
For this operating system you require at least SilverFast 8.
This is available as an upgrade through our web store.
Your existing serial number will provide a discount.
