Now it won't even save a scan to a file

I've been very happy so far, using SE 6.5 on my Canon 8800F, with all the processing being done afterwards in Photoshop 7 (yes!), all in 64-bit Windows 7. Everything has worked perfectly so far, for many years and for many hundreds of scans. I have not altered any SE settings or any Photoshop settings.

Now SE will not save any scan to a file, irrespective of which output mode I will (JPEG, TIFF or PDF). I have tried uninstalling SE completely and re-installing from the disk, without any success.

So what do I do now?

Dear customer,

Please make sure you are using the latest free update 6.6.2r5.
Version 6.5 is not compatible with Windows 7 64.
A system update might cause an older version to become non-functional.

Also try saving to your Desktop to check if an access rights issue might be present in your chosen location.
