When opening the SF Universal Launcher, it crashes!

I'm using a V700 scanner on OSX 10.9.5

I can't use my scanner for some reason. When I try to get the SF Universal Launcher to open, it continuously crashes.

I just want to use my scanner - any thoughts!?!?

your version of SilverFast 6 unfortunately does not support the operating system you tried to install it in.
Please upgrade to the latest version of SilverFast 8.0 if you want to use it with this OS.
