I am running a Mac Pro (Mid 2010) under MacOS 10.10.1. I downloaded and installed SE 8 Plus version 8.2.0r2 from http://www.silverfast.com/download/sf8/SF-8.2.0r2(Epson).dmg. I also updated the Epson Scanner Driver and EPSON Scan Utility v3.07 from the Epson website.
I quit both Photoshop CS 6 and SilverFast before installation. The installation completed without error messages. When I start SilverFast I get the following message:
SilverFast has been updated. There are still files that require an update to be compatible.
SilverFast will temporarily disable the outdated modules.
Please update your SilverFast software for the:
* Epson family
What specific software is outdated and what is the link for obtaining the current version of the outdated software. Thank you.

Re: SilverFast Update Issue
Dear customer,
On OS X it sometimes occurs that certain files can not be overwritten.
Please do the following:
Uninstall SilverFast 8 using the "Uninstall SilverFast 8.app" in
/Applications/SilverFast Application/SilverFast 8/
(This can take a few seconds).
Then use the OS X Disk utility to repair your main hard drive's access rights.
Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility -> Select main hard drive (Macintosh HD) -> click "repair disk permissions"
Afterwards directly install the latest update from our website.
(Our "updates" are always full installation files.)
The message should no longer occur.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
