Launching error message
I just installed the demo SF-8.0.1r36(Nikon)_x64.exe on my Windows 7 (64) system. The program recognizes my scanner (Nikon Coolscan 4000 ED), but when I press the "start here" button, it says: "There was a problem starting your scanner. Please make sure the drivers are installed correctly. Exiting now..." I'm running on Firewire. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and made sure I booted again before testing each time. I sure would like to look at what this program can do. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Launching error message
I have installed this driver through the device manager: nksusb_ieee1394_lsi.inf.
Silverfast 8.0 lists my scanner on the launch screen, but when I click on "start", I get exactly the same message as before:
"There was a problem starting your scanner. Please make sure the drivers are installed correctly. Exiting now..."
I do have one other imaging device: a wireless HP print/scan/fax. But I have unplugged it and disabled it through device manager before attempting to launch Silverfast.
What should I try next?
Regards, Steve
