I puchased the SilverFast 8 SE Plus in a bundle with Plustek OpticFilm 8200i — installation is successful (driver and SF, QuickScan works), but when running, the system returns dialogue of Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library saying it requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way (attached).
Win'7 ×64, Avast Internet Security, the product is registered. What can be done here?

Re: Visual C++ Runtime error when running
Dear customer,
Please make sure all your Windows components are up to date.
Outdated .NET components have cause similar issues in the past.
Also make sure you are using the latest SIlverFast version (currently 8.0.1r30).
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Visual C++ Runtime error when running
Dear LSI_Ketelhohn,
You must be mistaken as this is the first thing I did to check. My system gets regular updates, I even tried to download software from MS site which caused .Net and MSVC to say that I am using newer versions.
However, this is what I found: the driver was installed in 32 bits only, even when I ran the setup64, so the ×64 program cannot work with шею When I installed the 32-bit version, it came back to life. The only thing that is left now is pressing the Plustek support, if I get it right.
