Installation problem under OS X and Silverscanner II

SilverFast is not able to find my LaCie Silverscanner II under OS X 10.1.5. I get a dialog box informing me that "no scanner was found" whether I try to access the scanner through SF_App or PhotoShop 7.

In addition, the dialog box asks me to consult the log file, and the log file tells me to "check that your scanner is registrated in the list of supported scanners" by looking for a log entry beginning with the title "Supp. Scanner:". There are no entries in the log file that begin with that title.

If I reboot into OS 9 I have no trouble scanning. In addition, under OS 9 or OS X, I have no trouble using either of the other 2 devices on the SCSI chain.

The version of software I installed is SFE-6.0.1r11 (Epson).

Thank you for your help!
Dave

The reason might be, that there are missing two files in our installer, which where installed from earlier versions of the Epson original software. Ralf from LaserSoft reported about this problem in various other posts.

Because the Epson software doesn?t install these files any longer, we have to install them ourselves. We are working on new installers and will provide updates very soon.

Eric.

I am confused...

Following the link to Liudas' comments led me to a link to download a file called "Epson_bundles.sit." I downloaded this file and decompressed it, but it looks like these files are intended for use with Firewire or USB scanners. My scanner is SCSI. Should I still install these? Both bundles?

Thanks for the help!
