I use a MacPro with 10.8.2
have a 128GB SSD as a system disk.
To not be constantly writing at the SSD, I put my user folder to another hard drive on my MacPro.
Since then, the SilverFast 8 has stopped working properly. When previewing the program makes calibrating the scanner is apparently not found in its normal place my user folder, even though the rest of applications work correctly.
SilverFast successive reinstallations not fix the problem. I created another user folder on my SSD disk containing only SilverFast preferences, but the program remains in calibrating.
I had to return the user folder to the SSD for SilverFast function properly again.
Any chance you could correct this anomaly in successive versions of the program? SSDs shorten your life with intensive writing them, and I would avoid it if possible.
