Silverfast 8 and Plustek 8200i SE: Not recognized

Hi,
I have just purchased a Plustek 8200i SE scanner with SilverFast SE Plus 8 bundled.
But I can't get SilverFast to reqognize the scanner. The Image Source field is empty (see attached screen shoot). I've upgrade to the latest software and drivers without any result.
Scanning with Plusteks QuickScan works perfect.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

Dear JAn,
Please disable the WSD device in the device manager.
It often blocks access to the scanner.

I am also experiencing the same problem, but using Mac OSX 10.9.1
Is there a similar fix for this?

Dear Peter,
Please make sure you are using the latest
SilverFast 8 update.
Check if your scanner is shown in the OSX System Report.
(Apple symbol -> about this Mac -> more Info... -> System Report... -> USB)
If not, there is a hardware connection issue.
Make sure the scanner is connected directly to the USB port.
Do not use a USB-hub or extension cable.
Try reinstalling the drivers:
First remove the "Plustek***.framework" folders from the directory
/Library/Frameworks/
Then reinstall the latest
update from our website.

Hello,
After installation of both software discs (Silverfast installed 1st), the Silverfast program does not recognize any image source. I have scanned the images using the Quick Scan with no problem. I am using Windows 7 64bit. Might I be overlooking something? Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Dear Christine,
Please make sure you installed the latest updates from the manufacturers website and our own.
The versions on the CDs are most likely outdated.

I am having same problem, but with EPSON PERFECTION V700 PHOTO Scanner. I have tried posting, but my post is not appearing on the board.
I am running Win 7 SP1 Pro. I have installed latest scanner drivers and SE 8 software. My scanner plugged into USB2 port on root, not a hub. Any ideas?
