Can't access film scan feature
I have just purchased and installed Silverfast 8 and I need to scan a negative in ASAP. I have the Epson Perfection 3200 Photo and when I launch Silverfast the source for 'negative' appears but is greyed out and I have no way of switching out of reflective or positive for source. Please please please someone help!

In case you can not switch to transparency please check the cable connecting the chassis of the scanner to the transparency unit in the lid.
While the scanner is switched off: try unplugging and replugging it.
Then start the scanner and SilverFast.
Make sure all transport safeties are switched off.
