It seems that all the Scanjets are SCSI supported. Is there any possibility to see a USB based SF? You mentionned that SF uses Escape sequences. May be to get a 5500c to work, we just need to read from the USB, not the SCSI.

there are no immediate plans for implementing support for this scanner into SilverFast. Yet, there is a whole new year coming. You might want to keep an eye to our website (Support -> supported scanners) every other month or so.
