Powerlook III on OSX 10.4 with SCSI PCI Board

Just need to clarify:
I was trying recently to update my hardware to MAC G 5. I want to connect my Powerlook III to my G 5 using Ratoc Ultra SCSI Host PCI Board PCI30U, which according their specks works on Mac OS X 10.4 or later. My question is if Powerlook III will work on OS X 10.4? Your site says that you have Silverfast software for it, but Umax site claims that they don't have software for Powerlook III for Mac OSX 10.4. Can you update me on that? And overall - will this set-up work with Ratoc card?
Thanks!

Dear Mr. Jankunas,

the problem with SCSI on OSX versions later than 10.3 is that it really is unreliable due to some changes Apple did there.
There are only two manufacturers of SCSI Cards that are reliable ATTO and ACARD.

When the Scanner is properly recognised by the SCSI Card SilverFast should be able to communicate with it when we stated it on our
SnowLeopard Website http://www.silverfast.com/show/snowleopard/en.html

Well, I think, that I solved this problem for now. My Powerlook III works with my set-up. The only thing bothers me, that I can't run my both scanners (Powerlook and Nikon SL 200) at same time. Meaning you should switch on (of) one scanner at the time and restart the computer. Why is that?
Thanks.

The Operating System can only handle a single imaging device at a time.
Attaching more than one often creates a hardwareconflict.
