Hi Drol,

I can`t tell you exactely, but there was a small program, that came with the Magicscan software.Since I don`t have it installed right now,I`m not sure about how it`s called.
There also should be a Silverfast log.file in your Photoshop Import-export folder, which should give you the firmware version.

If that means anything to you.
Anyway. Scan time for me is somewhat above 2 minutes (or 5 sec less, in case I started scanning time incorrectly).

Thanks for the info,Drol.
This stuff doesn`t mean anything to me.I can`t find the log file on my computer anymore, but I found the one for my Microtek-scanner,which also shows the firmware version.Anyway...your scan takes even longer than mine (96sec).So you should get the optimum out of your Powerlook 3000.
BTW,are you using Windows?I have XP.

Forgot to ask you,how you place the 24/36mm slide into your scanner.Upright or oblong format (Hope those are the right words;I`m german)? All my time measurements referred to oblong format.

Windows 98SE

I use to call it "portrait" (vertical edge is longer than horizontal) and "landscape" (horizontal is longer than vertical).

I was scanning using "Portrait" orientation.
