LaserSoft Imaging

When I scan a large tranparency (page of negatives) with TA, the scanning pauses about 1/3 through, then starts going back and forth ove the same area several times before contunuing. the reuslting scan has the 3 colors out of registration.

Neither v**s**n nor the Umax software have this problem.

I'm using Windows 2k, SP3, Dual P3, Umax 2400 S w/ TA, AI 5.5.2r02

I've re-installed, deleted folders, etc.

Any ideas?

Could you check, what ASPI Layer you have installed ? It should be 4.7 at least. I couldn' reconstruct your problem, cause we don't have a dual PIII here.

I'm using adaptec 4.71.

And I've sent at least 3 emails over past year regarding this problem and received no reply. that is why I posted the problem here.

I will send it to info@ as well.

could you tell us how the problem-if ever-has been solved?

i will install adaptec 2910c-pci-card-win2k-sp4 on a xp1800-machine.

you need to make sure the UMAX drivers are installed for the scanner.

Once you do that it will work.

It took 2 years, but I finally got the problem solved.

Works great now.
