RGB to CMYK in digital photo

Hello,
You know that when you printing (non home but for commercial use like newspaper or magazine or catalog) a digital image, i.e. you convert the native RGB or sRGB profile in CMYK, you have very problems in a large wide of kinds: definition of CMY channels, an aggressive K, a great difficult to control lights, contrast etc.
I am not referring to monitor colours problems, but to the workflow from the colour space RGB to CMYK paper printing 300dpi. And I know very well that a good colour space calibration in order to the final printer output, can resolve many of these problems. But... this is the "state of the art" for the workflow; really, i work in many differents situations of outputs (some digital services, others traditional thypographie).
So, i ask if one of the silverfast products family, can help me.
Actually i used a Nikon D1 and a Coolpix 5000, and shot in RAW files.
Thanks (and sorry for my orrible english),
Paolo
