Greeting,

When I scan and correct an image (tif file) using HDR, the scanning data is saved and associated with the thumbnail. Is there a way to maintain this data association if I wish to move the original tif files to another directory or drive? Thanks for your assistance.

frankly spoken I'm not really sure what you are talking about, but I will try to guess.

Do you mean the scanning parameters (resolution, frame, bit depth etc.)? They are saved as a preference file, but we only keep this preference files for the last six images you processed with SilverFast HDR.

The JobManager might be your friend. With the JM you can set individual parameters for every image and save this job. When you have moved the source files and try to reopen the saved job, the JM will ask you were the image files are now located.

Sorry. I?ll try to clarify. When you pre-scan an image file in HDR and make corrections and adjustments. After you?ve comlpeted a full scan and created a new tif file, if you open the original image file, the same corrections, framing, color corrections take effect (slightly after you actually pre-scan). My concern is that if I move the original file location, this data will be disassociated from the original image file. True? Is so is there a way to migrate the data?

your clarification just confirms that I guessed right.
The only way to save your corrections and adjustments is via the JobManager. If you move the original files later, the JM will ask you were the image files are now located.

Thank you for the advice. I'll make fine use if the Job Manager. Great Program by the way... I tell all my friends all about Silverfast.
