How does one migrate HDR IT-8 calibration ICCs from one computer to another, if the new computer does have a scanner attached? My HDR tiff files are scanned on a computer with a Nikon LM-4000, with Silverfast IT-8 calibration, with embedded icms. Then the files are transferred to a remote computer with HDR only. I want to retain the benefits of the IT-8 calibration. Your advise is appreciated.

You'll find the ICC profiles inside your system's Color Management folder Mac = ColorSync folder
Win = ICM folder

the scanner profile files start with SF and continue with the scanner model name. You simply transfer these files (network) to same folder on other computer.

Can you clarify the correct color setting for me?
Computer #1 with the Nikon LS-4000 scanner and Ai (with IT-8 Calibration uses the setting:

Scanner ? internal ? Image Color matching
??? Internal- monitor - Image Color Matching ??? or none or automatic ? pls advise
Internal output ? RGB
Profiles for ICM
Scanner ? sf ? Nikon etc
Internal Adobe RGB 1998
Grey ? none
Printer ? none
Rendering ? Perceptual
Embedded Profile
Checked
Profile embedded ? Adobe RGB 1998
Plug & Play ? grayed out ? no CMYK

Computer #2 ? No scanner and HDR

Scanner ? internal ? Embedded Profile
Internal- monitor ? Automatic ??
Internal output ? RGB

I scan with Ai to 42 bit color HDR. I output HDR on computer #2 to 42-24 bit color.

Use ICM when you have a monitor profile that you want to use. If not, "Automatic" is the favorite choice, as this will use the working color space used by Adobe Photoshop (you must know the PS setting of "RGB setting")
