Microtek 1800f and Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper
PostPosted: Wed Dec 14, 2005 8:17 pm
I just installed a new Microteck 1800f and am scanning thousands of photos printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper. This paper has a slight, pebbled texture to it, and that texture shows up in a very pronounced way on the scans done with this scanner. I've looked at similar scans done on another 1800f, which displays the same characteristics.
I can scan the same image on my cheap Epson 2450, with excellent results - color wise and texture wise (no pebbled texture).
Does anyone have any experience with this problem? Have any work-arounds? Setting combinations? Ideas?
