I have a problem.

OS is Jaguar 10.2.8, and scanner is Microtek 6100.

when scanning negatives or reflective material it is mirrored.

why?

please check the densitometer. You might have mirroring enabled (button shines orange).

Another solution is that the scanner actually scans correctly, but you mistook from which side the image is scanned.
