Incomplete Scanning

I am using TWAIN 6.6.2r5 with Microtek i900, XP Pro, PhotoShop Elements 10.
Following successful prescan and cropping 35mm positives,
I set the size output to 6"x4", 1200 dpi.
Scanner initializes and begins scanning, then inexplicably stops!
I have reinstalled software, looked for malware, but find nothing.
This problem came "out of the blue." So I tried several "Restore"
points, to no avail.

There has not been ANY new programs nor any new hardward for months.
Like I said, it just came out the blue last week.

I cannot make money trouble shooting a computer
program.... any suggestions" My last "trouble free" Ai was version
6.6.1r4a. I asked Tek support, but no response thus far.

Please install the Photoshop/stand-alone version.

TWAIN is not supported by Photoshop anymore.
