scanning magazine articles with SilverFast 8?

hi all.
I need to scan magazine articles. this would involve scanning the multiple parts/pages of the article, aligning and stitching together parts of the same page, and exporting everything as a multi-page pdf document. can I do this with SilverFast 8? or will I need to use a second application to align/stitch and pdf export the document?
