Can anyone help me - I am scanning 3x3 colour positive transparencies and keep getting these rings both when using the guide and placing slide directly onto glass is there anything else I can try - I do not want to use any fluid etc.

Re: Newton Rings
Dear Betty,
The best way (I know) to get rid of the newton rings is by making a fluid mount. Perhaps another user has found a different solution.
Cheers

Re: Newton Rings
you can try some anti-newton glass in the holder -
If you are in the US -
http://www.fpointinc.com/glass.htm
The above are very experienced. One note- order two, the glass is extremely fragile.
