LaserSoft Imaging

I'm trying to figure out how to set a single exposure for a set of film. I'm using a V700 scanner in batch mode, and each frame I select winds up auto-adjusting the exposure. If I happen to select some of the film border, it skews the exposure greatly (thinking that this is now absolute black). It also changes the exposure from frame to frame.
Note that this isn't the normal exposure control at the top, but something else that I can't track down.

I'm scanning 16 bit greyscale negatives, with everything default + multiexposure.

You are having the image auto adjust active, please go to options/Auto and deactivate all options available there.

In NegaFix open de expert mode and deactivate the Auto tolerance checkbox towards the end of the dialogue, now after resizing or repositioning the scanning frame you will not suffer any changes, you can duplicate the frame by pressing and holding the Alt key and clicking with the mouse the areas where you want to have the next frame.

Hmn, I don't appear to see the auto-adjust setting in the Options/Auto dialog - This is running Ai Studio.

I've disabled all the checkboxes in the auto dialog, disabled the "auto" in the expert NegaFix section, and it still appears to be auto-exposing. If I happen to have my frame lines cross the actual photo boundary, the exposure still changes (sometimes quite drastically)

I believe I have followed all of those steps - each option is disabled - but when scanning negatives, I still get the auto-exposure function. Any other ideas?

Try first tracing one scanning frame selecting the emulsion and getting the exposure right, then deactivate CCR and Auto tolerance, the negaFix dialogue should look something like:



After that you should be able to create other frames or reframe the existing one!
