SilverFast and Photoshop

Hi,
I have a Plustek Opticfilm 7200 scanner and I am using SilverFast on Windows Vista 32 bit.

My question - After a scan has been done with SilverFast how can I stop Adobe Photoshop being opened ?
As I would like to do several scans before editing them in Photoshop or Lightroom.

Thanks

John

Dear John,

You have to close SilverFast, then open the windows explorer and select one of the files you would like to open (without double-clicking it or opening it).
Using the right mouse button you select the option "Open with"
Select the program of the list which you'd like to be standard for opening those files (at this point you have to check towards the lower end of the list the option to use as a standard program for that file type) and click ok.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply, But I think you misunderstood my question.

After the scan has finished, SilverFast saves the file as "image1.tif" and then opens Photoshop automatically. Because the "tif" extension is associated with Photoshop.

I don't want SilverFast to open photoshop or any other edit program, I just want SilverFast to save the file.

Thanks John

Thanks again for you reply,

I don't have that check box - When I click Options. I only get General,CMS, Special. and the General Tab only has a small number (8) options.

Is that because I am using SiverFast (UScan-SE).8ba (vers. 6.6 1r2) ?

Is that check box part of the full program ?

Thanks again for your time. John

Dear John,

You are right, that option is only available in SilverFast Ai or Ai Studio.
