Adobe announced PhotoShop 7 today, which includes lots of great new features, including OSX and XP support. Here's the link to find out more:

Let's hope Silverfast will be ready/compatible with this new version when it arrives!

SilverFast Ai / HDR and Photoshop 7
Good news! We just realised full support for Adobe Photoshop 7. And I can tell, it was quite a lot of work.! The first version to be available for download in a few days will be SilverFast
HDR 5.5.2.

Mr. President,
That's great news - sorry it's so much work for you guys. I know that it's always a challenge for 3rd party companies every time Adobe (or anyone else) comes out with an major release. It's good to know that you guys are ahead of the curve and will be ready. I think the Silverfast/PhotoShop 7 combination will prove to be even better than it already is. Not to mention allowing OSX users to use your OSX version that you've worked so hard on. Thanks,
Ian A.

Mr President,
Believe me I am sure I speak for many people when I say that I very much appreciate your company's pro active work making Silverfast OS X compatable. Nikon and Epson are miles away.
Silverfasts quality and features coupled with the stability of OS X makes a formidable combination.
Thanks a million.
Simon Clifford-Smith
P.S.
I know I am a pain at times, but I am only trying to make a great product like Silverfast Ai 5.5 perfect!

I downloaded the SilverFast demo for OS X, not because I scan photos, but because I can create images with High Dynamic Range in Lightwave3D. What our growing community needs is a plug-in for Photoshop that will *OPEN* HDR format images, not simply accept them as scanned data.
The format we need to be supported for this workflow are:
ghtWave Flex (.flx), Radiance (.hdr), TIFF_LogLuv (.tif), and CineonFP (.cin). Unfortunately, SilferFast will not open any of these file formats.
I believe HDR imagery is the future of all image development. It would be great if LaserSoft could repurpose this tool set for another workflow and another market.
Thanks,
Michael
