Greetings:
I'm pretty new to SilverFast and negative scanning, but I'm hoping someone can offer some suggestions for the problem I'm observing. I'm using a Canon 8800F scanner and SilverFast AI Studio v. 6.6.0r5 with a set of B&W negatives. When I use the iSRD mode, I can see curious "streaking" in certain portions of the final image. I've attached two images below showing the streaking that I'm referring to. The first has iSRD enabled and the second is without iSRD. I'm scanning these negatives in 48->24 bit color. You may also notice a green tint in the iSRD-enabled image. I'm not sure why that's happening either.
Can anyone offer any insight on this problem?

Re: iSRD produces streaks in B&W neg scan
Dear Tim,
on B&W Scans infrared scan for the detection of dust ans scratches is always hard, ICE does not even support this at all.
With our iSRD implementation you can adjust the threshold value. This would be the way to go for you I would recommend that you
set the value to10 or maybe 8 or lower(if the artiacts are still there) the default value is 12.
Pleae not that if it really does not help you can use our manual dust and scratch removal SRD.
