Why are all the slides that I am scanning with my pulsek 7200 so dark? It is a brand new scanner. Obviously something is set wrong. Any help?

I didn't see anything like that with our sample scanner.

I have a similar problem - new machine with prescan very dark. Has a solution for this been found or am I too doing something wrong?
