Hi

I like to scan fotos (negatives and APS) with a Nikon Coolscan III (LS-30) and the Silverfast AiStudio. I like to scan more than one photo at a time.

Question:

- Is there a good "default setting" (resolution , ...) for the software?

- I like to scan several photos (bach job) at a time in the right size. Is there a document about this workflow (settings)?

- I have the problem that I can scan one photo in the desired size. But if I tun a batch job, the photos are to small. I think a setting in the software is wrong. Any ideas?

Ich m?chte Negativstreifen und APS-Filme mit einem Nikon Coolscan LS-30 und Silverfast AiStudio scannen. Dabei m?chte ich mehrere Negative und ganze APS-Filme via Batch scannen.

Frage:

- Gibt es eine empfehlenswerte "Defaulteinstellung" (Aufl?sung, usw.) f?r die Software?

- Angestrebt wird, dass ich die Fotos mal scannen kann und ich die Bilder dann in der richtigen Gr?sse habe. Und sie sollten auch so zugeschnitten sein, dass ich keine st?renden R?nder habe nach dem Scannen. Sollte mit entsprechenden Software-Einstellungen m?glich sein. Klar m?ssen danach Bilder nachbearbeitet werden, aber ich m?chte sie wenigstens mal in der richtigen Gr?sse zugeschnitten haben. Gibt es irgendwo eine Beschreibung eines solchen Workflows?

- Ich habe das Problem, dass ich ein einzelnes Foto inder gew?nschten Gr?sse scannen kann. Wenn ich aber mehrere miteinander scanne werden diese sehr klein. Irgendwo fehlt mir eine Einstellung in der Software. Hat mir jemand einen Tipp, wo ich suchen muss?

unfortunately there's no optimal setting for most task given, which is why SilverFast offers you to fine-tune your settings. Else, there would only a need for a big, green button with an "produce optimal scan" label :D

Addressing your batch scan problem, please check your settings again. It might be, that SilverFast is able to recognise different settings for different holders and scan modes. But this effectively means that you can (and possibly need to!) set the settings all over again.
