What to use for Kodak Versatility Max 400

Postby glc » Mon Dec 05, 2005 5:18 pm

I have the Silverfast SE version 6.

It lists for what I guess are referring to Kodak Versatility Max 400:
Gold - Max400
Royal Gold - 400
Supra - 400

They all produce colors a little differently and I end up using the one I like.
But which is the intended one?

Also for Fuji Superia X-TRA (4th color layer) 800
It's the Fuji Superia 800, right?

Thanks and hope to get a reply.

Dear glc

if the film material you use is not profiled for your given scanner, you can (with SilverFast Ai) easily tweak a given profile which comes near your desired results.

For further information on how to do this, please have a look at Ian Lyon's tutorial, the SilverFast Negafix guide, and the showcase movie.
All are linked on the Negafix highlight webpage at:

I guess it really doesn't matter which one as long as the picture comes out the way one likes.

The supra - 400 looked best for Kodak versatiltiy max 400.
But I haven't scanned with a Fuji Superia X-TRA 800 yet since I'm still using the film and have yet to have it developed.

I'm happy with the pictures.
Thanks.
