Memory mangement on the MAC.

How does Silverfast manage memory on the MAC 9.2? I am using it through PS 7. Can I assign more or less ram to Silverfast or does it let Photoshop control memory?

Dear bear,
the memory is controlled by the host application (Photoshop).
