Can't name or save file

Something has changed...?
When I type in the name of the file to save in the 'Name' box on Silverfast the curser is already red & the file once scanned, doesn't appear in the selected file path chosen via the directory button.
I can get my images by opening Photoshop & importing from Silverfast but I cannot open Silverfast & save to my own documents prior to opening Photoshop.
I reinstalled both the scanner & Silverfast software & that hasn't resolved the issue.
It would appear as thought the link saving to 'My Documents ' is somehow broken...?.
Any advice please?
