IT8 Calibration fails

Cannon 9000F Mk II. Click on "IT8 Cal button." A pre-scan happens and the red frame with white squares is at least 3x the size of the transparency target. Then the app freezes and the only thing that I can do is to quit the program. v8.8.0r7 on El Capitan.

Please set SilverFast to positive mode for the IT8 calibration.
