LaserSoft Imaging

I am a new user. Just bought the Plustek 8200i and also installed and registered the last version of Silverfast on Windows 8.
The scan of my first files give me often, not always, a almost total black file (sample attached). Can somebody help me?

Dear customer,

are you scanning B&W film?
If yes please make sure the infrared based scratch and dust removal iSRD is deactivated.
The scanner's infrared beam unfortunately can not penetrate the film's silver halide emulsion.
